Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3)
Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3) program is a global training and certification program designed to validate an individual’s basic computer skills and Internet knowledge. The certification results in the successful completion of the following three online exams. See Testing Fees and Costs for fees and costs associated with this test.

These exams are administered by Southwestern Michigan College’s Academic Assessment and Testing Services. In order to take any of the IC3 exams, you must:
- Purchase an SMC Test Voucher(s) from the college’s Business Office
- Schedule a testing time with the Academic Assessment office 48 hours in advance
- Present your voucher, receipt and picture ID to the Academic Assessment office on the day of the scheduled test
- Take the exam(s)
