SMC Alumni Association - Alumni Fund

The Southwestern Michigan College’s Alumni Fund has been set up to assist current students. Sometimes in a student’s academic career their financial resources are insufficient to support their academic aspirations, making it difficult for students to complete their degree. Sometimes it is as simple as not being able to afford to buy their books, leading to the student sitting out for the semester. Many students have to work a full-time job while being a full-time or part-time student. At Southwestern Michigan College we’ve created a new resource for our students. However, we need your help to accomplish this new goal.

The Alumni Fund is for anyone who would like to make a contribution. It is not specific to alumni only. The scholarship is named Alumni Fund because we want to make sure our students become alumni by establishing a financial resource for them. This will only become a reality with the help of SMC’s alumni, friends of the college, and the community.

The majority of us can relate to the expenses a student can incur through their collegiate career. Some of us have even had the luxury of scholarships and other financial resources to help lessen the burden. This is why your donation is so important to these upcoming scholars at Southwestern Michigan College.

Unlike SMC’s endowment scholarships, the Alumni Fund has been set up so that 100 percent of your donations are immediately applied to the student’s needs. If you would like to make a contribution and help this scholarship become a reality please fill out the Online Contribution Form.
