See an Advisor

Advisors are available by appointment on both campuses. Limited evening appointments are also available. Plan to do this well before the semester begins.

You may want to think about how many courses you can reasonably take given your family and work schedules. Twelve credit hours is the minimum to be considered a full-time student.

In order to finish an Associate degree in four regular semesters, you will need to average between 15 and 16 credit hours per semester. You may be able to graduate sooner if you also take classes in the spring semester as well. Also try to get a good mix of courses each semester so that you don’t end up with a heavy load in one subject area during any one semester. Lastly, if you wish to enroll for more than 20 credit hours, you will need approval from an academic dean.

Your advisor will discuss your goals and develop an educational plan. To schedule an appointment, call (269) 782-1303.
