Scholarships
EXCEL students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year to be eligible for scholarship opportunities.
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:
- Making good academic progress – this is based on your Counselor’s recommendation and the Committee’s final decision.
- Pell grant eligible and have unmet need as defined by the financial aid office.
- Required to have 6 credits in Winter and 6 credits in Spring.
- Participated in at least 2 EXCEL workshops (or) 1 workshop and 1 EXCEL campus visit in the Fall and/or Winter semesters and/or completed an approved Learning Styles Assessment with the TLC and/or a Peer Mentor Flex Workshop.
- Completed the FAFSA for the upcoming academic year. Financial Aid workshops are available in February.
- Students must display good character and be a positive role model for the program.
- Contact your EXCEL Counselor at least twice a semester.
- Maintain a 2.75 or higher overall GPA.
