International Student Math/Science Scholarship
The International Student Math-Science Scholarship at Southwestern Michigan College provides in-state tuition rates for international students majoring in math or science. The program provides the following:
- Students awarded this scholarship will be entitled to in-state tuition for the 2008-2009 academic year. Fees and books are not covered by this scholarship.
- Applicants must be a current or prospective student at Southwestern Michigan College who is considered an international student. For purposes of this scholarship, the term "International Student" is defined as "a foreign national in a non-immigrant alien status in a visa status that permits full-time academic studies".
- Awarding of this scholarship is contingent upon satisfactory scores in the placement testing required for enrollment in the courses listed below.
- To be considered for this award, students must have a declared major in math or science [excluding health (HEED) or nursing (NURS) courses]
and be enrolled in a minimum of one of the following upper level math/science classes per semester:

- Students must also complete all international student admission requirements.
- Students must submit this application electronically.
Due to limited funds, applications will be considered in the order in which they are received. This scholarship is available for the 2008-2009 academic year and applications must be received by August 1, 2008. Other restrictions may also apply.
