Resident Assistant: Ashley Eldred-Barker
Hello everyone, my name is Ashley Eldred-Barker and I am currently a sophomore at Southwestern Michigan College. My major is Pre-Nursing and my academic goal is to graduate from Southwestern Michigan College as a Registered Nurse. Once graduated from Southwestern Michigan College, I plan to transfer to a four-year university to obtain a Master’s Degree in Family Science, to become a Nurse Practitioner.

I am currently a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a personal achievement of mine is that I have recently become a Certified Phlebotomist Technician. My hobbies include volunteering, swimming, fishing, camping, running, and meeting new people. My favorite movie is Mean Girls and I love listening to Lady Gaga. A random fact about me is that I absolutely love eating ice cream for breakfast. Once again, my name is Ashley Eldred-Barker and I look forward to being a Resident Advisor in the new housing facilities located on campus.

Resident Assistant: Chad Sinkler

Resident Assistant: Chad Sinkler
Hello, my name is Chad Sinkler and this is my second year at Southwestern Michigan College. My major is Computer Programming, and I am going for my Associates in Information Systems and Technology – Application Development. After I graduate with my Associates Degree I plan on transferring to Davenport University to pursue my Bachelors Degree in Gaming Simulation and Development. As you can probably tell by my career choice, I am very into video games, and I welcome anyone else that is to join me.

Besides video games, I like reading, watching movies, listening to music, exercising and above all else, eating and sleeping. I also love to cook, and absolutely love the idea of having a full kitchen in the apartment. I like all sorts of music, but I’d have to say one of my favorite bands is one I recently stumbled across, Basshunter. My favorite movies have got to be the Underworld movies, because they are filled with action and I think vampires and werewolves are awesome. One random fact about me is one you will come to know me by, and that is that I’m the biggest fan of Ford Mustangs. I have always liked them and if possible, hope to own one of my own soon. I enjoy making new friends, and look forward to getting to know you in my time at SMC.

Resident Assistant: Jessica Winner

Resident Assistant: Jessica Winner
Hello my name is Jessica Winner! This will be my second year at SMC and my major is Dance Education with a minor in business. I have been dancing for 15 years and would love to own my own dance studio someday! Currently I have been helping out with my church’s middle school youth group on Thursday nights, I am also involved in the college Bible study at my church and I am a part of the dance club at SMC!

Some of my hobbies include: hanging out with friends, watching movies, reading, sleeping, and shopping! I also enjoy water tubing and snow skiing but I don’t get to do them very often. I tried to decide who my absolute favorite band was but I couldn’t, so it’s a toss-up between David Crowder and Rascal Flatts! Now choosing my favorite move was easier, I absolutely love, and I mean love, the Ice Age movies!!!!!

After this next year at SMC I plan to transfer to Hope College where I will attain my bachelor’s in dance education with my minor in business! I have been told on countless occasions that I am a very unique person but one of the stranger things about me is that I can cross only one eye and when I do, I make kind of a funny face!
