SMC has teamed up with some of the area's finest colleges to offer bachelor's degrees right on the SMC campus and Ferris State University is now offering in-state tuition for Indiana residents.

SMC has transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities throughout the Michiana area, so you can be sure your SMC credits will transfer when you do. We have developed a Transfer Advising Center which should help you select courses equivalent to the first two years of the same program at the four-year schools.

Our students love it for its traditional college looks - tree-lined pathways, brick buildings, and grassy quad. The 240-acre Dowagiac Campus brings together thousands of students, many of whom juggle work or family commitments along with school. Busy as they are, they find time to get involved with SMC's award-winning newspaper, as well as choirs, bands, intramural sports and a full schedule of theatre productions. Southwestern Michigan College also has a Niles Area Campus. Here students get the same SMC experience with small classes and personal attention from their instructors at a location that is convenient for residents of Indiana.
