Welcome to the Information Center at Southwestern Michigan College. Here you will find all sorts of important information about SMC. Learn about SMC’s student success from SMC President David M. Mathews, and read about the College’s core values, mission statement, and equal opportunity policies.

If you're at the Dowagiac campus, stop in at our physical "information center" located in the center of the College Services Building. Nance and Cathy are there to help answer questions and direct you to the appropriate individuals who can help you.

SMC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The College is also a member of the American Association of Community Colleges. In addition, as a Michigan public community college, SMC operates under the supervision of a locally-elected Board of Trustees.

In the Visitor’s Center you will find maps and driving directions to the Dowagiac campus and the Niles Area Campus, as well as a form to schedule a visit to one or both of SMC’s campuses.
