Beware of Predatory Lenders

Many students use credit cards to pay for their expenses while attending college, but beware of predatory lenders.

Credit card companies are eager to do business with college students and will bombard them with applications and promises of low-interest introductory plans. If you decide that your student needs a credit card, we recommend that you apply for a credit card through a local bank or credit union.

Talk with your student about budgeting, and ways to economize while in school.
