Perhaps it’s the kind of students we draw from the local counties, but SMC is a very safe environment for students and staff.

We very rarely have to deal with any kind of student misbehavior, though we have a swift, decisive, and fair procedure for doing so if needed.

The local police patrol our parking lots at various times during the day and evening, and our maintenance staff is always available to help students also.
