MTEC Welding Cell

MTECSM has a strong commitment to the die casting industry. Die casting is our largest training cell. The facility serves as a satellite training site for the North American Die Casting Association (NADCA). The entire East Factory is dedicated to die casting and is divided into a cold chamber aluminum die casting cell and a hot chamber zinc die casting cell which are equipped as follows:

  • Prince Cold Chamber Aluminum Die Cast Cell
  • Idra Prince model 836 - 800 ton cold chamber die cast press
  • Lindberg/MPH 3600 lb. Capacity melting/holding furnace
  • QPC hot oil heaters (2)
  • Rimrock 405 Servo drive ladler robot
  • Rimrock 410 Servo drive sprayer/reciprocator robot
  • ABB 4400 IRB extractor robot
  • QPC quench tank
  • Chemtrend Powerlube 1100 plunger lube applicator
  • Die cast press 40 ton automatic trim press
