Selected Brownie Try-Its and Junior Badge programs are offered at the Museum at Southwestern Michigan College during the months listed below. Leaders, please call to schedule the best time for a program for your troop (a minimum of five girls is needed for a program – small troops may combine). Most programs are held Saturdays.

Cost is $5 per Scout. A 50 percent non-refundable deposit for estimated participation is required two weeks in advance. To schedule your troop, call 800 456-8675, Extension 1374 or 269 782-1374.

Annual Girl Scout Program Day - 2008

A special day at the Museum for Brownie, Junior, and Cadet Scouts!

Saturday, April 19, 2008, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Supplies fee: $6 per Scout, 60 Scout maximum Registration deadline: April 11, 2008

To register, send the Girl Scout program registration form with fees to Museum at SMC, 58900 Cherry Grove Road, Dowagiac, MI 49047, or contact the Museum. Sorry, college policy allows us to refund program fees only if the college closes on program day due to weather or similar problems.

The 1900 House: Life Around the Home

How did people living in the early twentieth century cook? What personal hygiene practices differed from those of today? Girls will have the chance to experience a time-travel journey back to everyday middle-class life at the turn of the century. An era-appropriate snack will be included.
