Precision Production Technology
The Precision Production Technology (PPT) program at Southwestern Michigan College offers the latest manufacturing training for the 21st century. A career in PPT means working with state-of-the-art CNC equipment to design and produce the products of the tomorrow.
Most jobs in the manufacturing industry will require training after high school, technical skills and experience. The PPT program can get you started in tomorrow’s manufacturing technology today. Students can earn a PPT – Basic Skills Endorsement Certificate and be ready for hire by area industry as an entry level trained machinist.
By enrolling in entry level PPT classes, students will learn about machines, tooling, materials, measurements and programming. Students entering this field of study can begin with entry level classes and progress to a one-year certificate or a two-year associate in applied science degree through the college’s Division of Advanced Technologies.
