An Enrollment Verification Certificate is an official document provided by the Records and Registration Office which may include the following information as requested by the student:

  • Name
  • Social Security Number
  • Term or semester
  • Start and end dates for each term
  • Degree/Major
  • Grade point average
  • Enrollment status for each semester

The Institutional Seal is affixed on all official verifications. A copy of the enrollment verification form is filed in the student’s academic record.

Obtaining an Enrollment Verification Certificate:

  • For students: Visit the Records and Registration Office, 1106 College Services Building on the Dowagiac campus or the Administrative Office on the Niles Area Campus. Complete the top portion of the Enrollment Certification form.
  • For companies: Southwestern Michigan College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide degree and enrollment verifications. Following the Related Link to National Student Clearinghouse on this page and then click on Degree and Enrollment Verifiers.
