SMC Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Faculty

Anthony Wheeler has been SMC’s Computer-Aided Drawing and Design instructor since 1997. Before coming to SMC, Wheeler worked for more than 30 years in the drafting and design field with numerous companies. His CADD experiences range from computer design, and restaurant and food service equipment, as well as automotive and RV component design.
Wheeler is certified in the following software programs:
“My greatest joy is being a part of students’ academic success. I like connecting the hands-on experiences with the real world of drafting and design,” Wheeler said of his teaching experience while at SMC. “A great part of that experience is interacting with the diverse student population at the college; students who really take an interest in their studies.” Wheeler enjoys spending time his family, collects model cars and planes as a hobby, and enjoys listening to jazz, classic rock, and instrumental guitar music. He also spends time playing flight simulators and watching classic military movies. |
