| Michael Chaddock has been an instructor with Southwestern Michigan College’s Welding Technology program since 2002. Chaddock has an associate in arts degree from SMC and a bachelor’s in organization management from Bethel College. He is a certified welder through the American Welding Society. Chaddock enjoys teaching at SMC because of the confidence the students gain throughout the program.
For fun, Chaddock enjoys canoeing, hiking, hunting, fishing, tying fish flies, and reading. |

Janice Stevens has been an instructor with Southwestern Michigan College’s Welding Technology program since 2000. She has an associates degree from Kirkland Community College and a Bachelor’s of Science in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University. What she loves most about teaching at SMC is watching the students’ confidence grow as they develop skills.
Stevens is a certified welding educator, inspector and entry level welder through the American Welding Society. She also is a certified quality systems engineer through the International Standards Organization. Stevens spent 10years as a pipeline welding in Alaska and Texas.
For fun, Stevens is an enthusiastic bird hunter, sporting clays shooter, fisherwoman, and German Shorthair Pointer owner/operator.
