Transfer Advising Center Overview
Southwestern Michigan College’s transfer programs provide the same quality academic coursework a student would take during the first two years at any four-year college or university, but at less than 50 percent of the cost. It’s easy to continue your education at a four-year institution with no duplication of courses when you work with SMC advisors on a personalized transfer program.

SMC has worked with numerous colleges and universities to develop the information provided in this Transfer Advising Center. The Transfer Advising Center should help you select courses equivalent to the first two years of the same program at the four-year schools. SMC offers coursework which will transfer into literally hundreds of academic majors at as many schools. The information contained here is to assist you in transferring from SMC to another institution. If you need information on transferring to SMC, see Transferring to SMC.
What is the key ingredient to a successful transfer? PLANNING, PLANNING and more PLANNING! These links lead to resources which will help you make plans to assure you a smooth transition to the college or university of your choice.
Please note, SMC does its best to maintain accurate information in the transfer guides and transfer equivalencies. As a result of continual change, final responsibility for successful transfer of classes suggested in these links rests with the student and communication with the transfer institution.
