Course Description

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ISYS 115 or satisfactory test score; ISYS 241. A web authoring course focused on the theory, design and construction of the server-side portion of web pages and sites. Windows, MySQL, Apache, PHP, and JavaScript will be used to configure and manage the back end of web-based applications. Topics will include: information architecture concepts, usability, layout, template development, site management, and web project management. This course will provide comprehensive instruction on how to use commercial software to build and publish a web site. This course will also cover security issues as related to Web server application and leads to PHP certification. [Semesters Offered: Spring]
