Course Description

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in NURS 166, BIOL 215, and NURS 167 (85%). This course focuses on the theoretical and clinical application of concepts, principles, and skills needed for identifying and meeting the diverse adult client care needs. Emphasis is placed on the theoretical and clinical knowledge of the nurses’ role in caring for those adults experiencing commonly occurring health problems including: medical and surgical interventions, holistic care, care before, during, and after medical or surgical interventions, and health promotion, education, and maintenance in relation to these commonly occurring health problems. [Semesters Offered: Fall and Spring]
