SMC open by appointment starting June 15

The college has reconfigured some service areas to maximize safety. Visitors will need to maintain distancing and to wear a mask when in buildings to minimize risk to vulnerable populations. Masks will be provided for those who might need one while on campus.

Participants who sign up by Sunday, July 5, or while supplies last, will be mailed a race T-shirt. Once you’ve completed the race, share your run time and a photo wearing your Steve’s Run T-shirt to the Steve’s Run Facebook page.

SMC holds May public board meeting in virtual format

The Board of Trustees set the formal budget hearing for June 15 at 10 a.m., also scheduled in a virtual format.

Married SMC nurses navigate pandemic

“The day he graduated was the biggest relief we have ever experienced,” Lauren said. “We cried and hugged on that stage because we knew we could breathe again. I was so proud of him! Our kids watched us persevere. It meant so much to us to teach them by example.”

Robotics skills in high demand

Since they studied robotics at SMC, they now work together, too. They already have jobs on the second shift at Lyons Industries in Dowagiac.
