Southwestern Michigan College Bookstore
Welcome to the Southwestern Michigan College Bookstore, located on the first floor of the College Services Building, Room 1003 on the Dowagiac campus.
The SMC Bookstore operates year round and offers textbooks, course-packs, other class materials, SMC apparel and gift items, as well as school supplies for students, staff, faculty and the community.
Textbooks, merchandise and clothing can be ordered online through the Shop Online area of the Bookstore Web site. Book orders can be delivered Dowagiac bookstore, the Niles Area Campus for students who do not come to the Dowagiac campus or a designated address. SMC Bookstore Scholarship
The SMC Bookstore Scholarship is open to all SMC students in every field of study who are not eligible for any other financial aid grants or scholarships.
The student must apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before seeking the SMC Bookstore Scholarship and have a completed financial aid file at SMC.
The SMC Bookstore Scholarship will cover the cost of all required and optional textbooks for the semester the scholarship is awarded. One scholarship will be awarded for each fall and winter semester.
All eligible students are required to turn in a typed two-page essay stating the reasons why they should receive the SMC Bookstore Scholarship. The essay must be submitted to the SMC Financial Aid Office no later than 5 p.m. August 1 for the fall semester and December 1 for the winter semester.
Please contact the Financial Aid Office for information on the deadlines for applying. The student awarded the Bookstore Scholarship will be notified by mail.

1 Those students using Third Party book vouchers cannot purchase books until Dec. 28th. All other financial aid book vouchers will be available on Dec. 30th. The last day to use book vouchers or return books for classes that were cancelled or dropped is Jan. 18th.
