Dual-Enrolled Student Orientation

Welcome to SMC!

We’re excited for you to begin your college journey with SMC!

To help you make the most of your time here, all new dual-enrolled students starting at SMC for the first time are expected to complete Dual-Enrolled Student Orientation. During our two-part orientation, you’ll learn about campus resources and how to succeed at SMC. Parents are encouraged to participate in orientation with you.

Part One: Online Orientation

LAUNCH ONLINE ORIENTATION

Part one is completely online and can be completed any time from your computer or phone. Launch orientation using the link above, then click ENTER AS GUEST to begin. The online orientation modules cover the following topics:

• Getting Started at SMC
• Academic Advising
• Campus Technology
• Academic Support and Tutoring
• Student Resources for Success
• Campus Life

Part Two: On-Campus Orientation

SIGN UP FOR ON-CAMPUS ORIENTATION

You and one guest should sign up to meet with college representatives and learn more about how to be successful at SMC. 

Choose the date that works best for you. All sessions are held on the Dowagiac campus.

On-campus sessions cover the following:

• President’s Welcome
• Tips for Success
• Using Campus Resources
• Logging into WIRED
• Receive your Student ID and Textbooks

Please bring a laptop or Chromebook to orientation.
