Welcome to SMC!
We’re excited for you to begin your college journey with SMC.
To help you make the most of your time here, we’ve put together orientation sessions designed to teach you about college expectations and give you valuable insights on how to be successful at SMC.
Attend one of three orientation sessions for an intro to life as a SMC Roadrunner!
Monday, August 17, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Wednesday, August 19, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Monday, August 24, 12-3 p.m.
Check in at the Nursing and Health Education Building (accessible via the David C. Briegel Building) on the Dowagiac campus. Check-in will open one hour prior to the beginning of each orientation. We recommend arriving early to sign in and get your student ID and textbooks.
Orientation is extremely important for your success at SMC. All new dual-enrolled high school students (LCISD Academies, SMC dual enrollment and Early Middle College programs) are expected to attend an orientation session. Returning dual-enrolled students are welcome to attend for a refresher on college resources, to talk to staff and to get textbooks. Parents are also encouraged to attend.
You will need your SMC Wired password! Please bring your acceptance letter, which has your username and password on it, or stop by the password reset station at orientation.
We look forward to seeing you at orientation!
