Get the full college experience by living on campus.

SMC’s residential housing is not your typical dorms—our private two and four bedroom suites are fully furnished and include a kitchen and living area.

RA’s on each floor plan events like Dorm Wars to help you get to know your fellow suitemates and build a community of mutual trust and friendship to help you feel at home.

The three resident halls are connected by The Backyard, a spacious grassy area perfect for cookouts, volleyball, roasting marshmallows around the Fire Pit, or an outdoor movie with your new friends.

NEW Shared Bedroom Suites

Shared bedroom suites are more like traditional dorm rooms; they sleep two people to a room and are designed to lower the cost of living on campus. Only 24 beds in this option are available. See an example.

Did you know?

SMC is one of only a few community colleges in Michigan with on-campus housing. It’s also a fact that students who live on campus do better in school. And because we have multiple bachelor’s degree options, you can stay at SMC for four years.

Discover one of the great Michigan community colleges. With dorms overlooking our beautiful, 240-acre campus, our students enjoy a full college-life experience. Give yourself the advantage and make SMC your smart choice.
