Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ENGL 115, ENGL 103W, ENGL 103, or ENGL 104, or satisfactory test scores placing into ENGL 103W or higher. Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 115 allowed. Introduces plants as the model organism for learning about basic biological principles including cell biology, genetics, plant development, anatomy, and ecology. Students work throughout the semester as individuals and as members of collaborative working groups to answer questions, solve problems, develop questions, perform experiments, and conduct research.
