Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in MATH 101 or satisfactory test score; permission of Dean of Nursing. Designed to teach the student the mathematical skills essential for safe administration of medications. Topics include: ratio, proportion, intravenous solution, apothecary and metric systems, and pediatric dosages. In addition, the student will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the administration of medications in a weekly laboratory setting. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer]
