Course Description

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ENGL 103 or ENGL 103W. Extends and elaborates the expository prose strategies introduced in English 103. The writing assignments are analytic and/or argumentative in nature. Readings in varied genres are provided to build critical reading and thinking skills. A formal research paper is assigned. The student must pass all parts of the Communications Department portfolio to earn credit for this course. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer]
