Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in WELD 159. This course administers the written examinations and performance testing in accordance with requirements of AWS SENSE QC10 and AWS EG2.0 for the MIG welding process. All individuals that meet the specified performance criteria will be awarded an AWS SENSE Program Welder certification. AWS welder certification is independent of the letter grade received in this course. [Semesters Offered: Spring]

Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in WELD 159. This course will administer the written examinations and performance testing in accordance with requirements of AWS SENSE QC10 and AWS EG2.0, for each student's choice of welding process. All individuals that meet the specified performance criteria will be awarded an AWS SENSE Program Welder certification. The successful completion of this course does not necessarily result in AWS (American Welding Society) Certification. AWS Welder certification is dependent upon written test scores and weld/layout conformance of the workmanship sample, per desired process. AWS welder certification is independent of the letter grade received in this course. All students who achieve certification are individually responsible for the $15.00 processing fee, paid directly to the American Welding Society. Students seeking multiple process specific certifications may enroll for this course multiple times with the recommendation of the program advisor. [Semesters Offered: Spring]
