Course Description

Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in NURS 178, NURS 186, and NURS 194; minimum grade of C in NURS 228, concurrent enrollment allowed; minimum grade of C in NURS 238, concurrent enrollment allowed. Minimum grade of PC (pass) required in two clinical courses, NURS 187 and NURS 195. This course offers hands-on, practical application of the knowledge and skills acquired in NURS 238, focusing on the nurse's role in the care of the adult client experiencing complex and chronic problems including: culturally diverse care, teamwork and collaboration, communication, client education, professionalism and management of care.
