Course Description
Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Radiography Technology program. This course continues and summarizes the study of the principles of radiation protection included in previous program courses. The practical applications of radiation protection in the clinical setting are discussed. Minimizing patient exposure while maintaining image quality is emphasized, as is radiation safety for medical imaging and other medical professionals. [Semester Offered: Spring]NOTE: Students enroll for this course through Michigan Colleges Online. Tuition rates and course fees are billed at the MWTEC program rate by the provider institution.
