Course Description

Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in NURS 178, NURS 186, NURS 187, NURS 194, NURS 195, and NURS 228; concurrent enrollment in NURS 228 allowed. Theoretical application of the physical and psychological care of the woman of childbearing age and older, including the care of the antepartum, intra-partum, postpartum, and newborn as well as other social issues that may affect women's health. Emphasis is placed on the knowledge required for the care of the culturally diverse maternal and newborn client. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer]
