Course Description

Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in NURS 204, and NURS 248; minimum grade of C in NURS 208, concurrent enrollment allowed; minimum grade of C in NURS 212, concurrent enrollment allowed. Minimum grade of PC (pass) in two clinical courses, NURS 205 and NURS 249. This course is designed to offer hands-on, practical application of the nursing skills and concepts acquired in NURS 208, focusing on the nurse's role in the direct care of pediatric clients with varied backgrounds and perspectives. Emphasis is placed on client-centered care, evidence-based practice and informatics, safety, teamwork and collaboration, and professionalism. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring]
