A bachelor’s you can afford, right here at SMC.
Earn a bachelor’s degree at SMC’s Dowagiac campus through our unique partnership with Ferris State University. For more information visit ferris.edu/dowagiac.
How It Works
Ferris Dowagiac students transfer a total of 80-90 credit hours from SMC to Ferris and take an additional 30-39 credits of Ferris classes to complete their degree, all in Dowagiac. This results in significant cost savings as students pay SMC’s low tuition rate for the majority of their classes. Plus, many SMC programs are designed to ladder seamlessly into Ferris programs, so you don’t lose any credits or waste time on classes that don’t transfer.
Flexible courses offerings include traditional, evening, online and mixed-delivery formats.
While you need 48 credits to apply to the program, it is a good idea to plan ahead. If you plan to apply for Ferris, contact Andrew Churchill to learn which courses you should take now to prepare and make the most of your degree.
Fall Semester: July 1
Spring Semester: December 1
Summer Semester: April 1
Students must have 48 transferable credit hours and a minimum GPA of 2.0-2.5 depending on the program.
